River, boat and beach fishing

Yamba is a popular fishing destination but is also home to a commercial fishing fleet – so we all know there must be something biting. With a private jetty and boat ramp at the Blue Dolphin, it’s the perfect destination for the keen fisherman of the family, but don’t forget to check out the nearby beaches, rock wall and inlets along the river to see where the locals go.

Safe beaches for swimming & surfing

Surfers and swimmers can enjoy Yamba’s beaches year-round with a great choice of northern and southern facing beaches, as well as gentler river beaches for families and children to enjoy. There’s even a river beach right here at the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort so you don’t need to pack the car to enjoy some time on the sand. Yamba’s beaches are patrolled during the summer season for your peace of mind, and keen surfers can also enjoy world famous breaks in nearby Angourie.

Yamba is iconically good fun in every season and you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere quite like it. Go for an adventure and explore the Yamba Lighthouse, Angourie’s Green & Blue Pools, Green Point, Angourie Lookout, Yamba break wall, Yamba Museum and our stunning river and beaches for sunset and sunrises you won’t forget anytime soon.
